
Character Analysis

Living… in a small town in a post-apocalyptic world, where blind monsters with extraordinary senses of hearing roam the earth and attack all things that make a noise. Since Reagan is deaf, her family communicates in sign language (ASL), allowing them to survive on their farm in silence, away from the monsters.
Interests… taking care of her brother and spending time with her family. She is also interested in art and machinery. Her father Lee is usually working on building devices that will help their family such as Reagan’s hearing aids.
Challenge… dealing with an extreme sense of guilt for the death of her youngest brother Beau. She blames herself for Beau’s death and believes that her dad no longer loves her because of it.
Personality… smart, brave, and caring. Reagan seems to have inherited her father's bravery, and her guilt for Beau’s death furthermore enhances her drive. She puts her family before herself and is willing to take risks in order to keep them safe. Reagan is also quick to react to the dangers in the environment around her.
