Ray Winkler

Overview… a former small-time hustler with big dreams. Ray is tired of being a dishwasher. Despite his lack of success in his career as a bank robber, he wants to try and turn his life around with a new “genius” scheme. The only thing getting in the way of Ray’s plan to tunnel into a Manhattan bank is his wife Frenchie, who doesn’t want to be visiting him in jail for the rest of his life. Yet Ray knows how to manipulate Frenchie’s obsession with class and money, and he promises to make her a “Patron of the Arts” with all the money they’ll get from this one last job.

Personality… simple, crass, and immature. Ray is just a normal guy from the Brooklyn streets. Although he’s dissatisfied with his dead-end job and aspires to get rich quickly, he has no pretentions of class or sophistication. Ray likes life’s easy pleasures: drinking a Bud, eating greasy Chinese, and watching a Mets game.
