Character Analysis

Grew Up… in Mecha Station on the Ark space station with an absentee mother. In fact, Raven’s mother would show up only to exchange her daughter’s rations for moonshine. Her neighbor Finn Collins, on the other hand, would share his rations with her. It is no wonder Raven has a soft spot for him.
Living… on Earth after succeeding in refurbishing an escape pod. She totally called the fact that the delinquent teenagers (more on them below) removed their monitoring wristbands in order to avoid interference from the Ark.
Profession… the youngest zero-gravity mechanic in 52 years. Raven Reyes knows her way around machines. If she can repair a 130-year old escape pod to make it through the descent to Earth, then she can fix anything.
Interests… mechanics, spacewalking, and verbally handing people their rear-ends.
Relationship Status… not quite over her boyfriend Finn Collins. They weren’t able to have a proper goodbye before he was sent to Earth as one of 100 juvenile delinquents who are guinea pigs to see if the once-destroyed planet is inhabitable again. Their reunion on the ground is more than a little awkward, considering Finn seems to have moved on while Raven hasn’t.
Challenge… attempting to reestablish contact with the Ark and assembling weapons for the Delinquents once she lands on Earth.
Personality… tough, fearless, and headstrong. Raven Reyes is not afraid of confrontation. At the same time, due to her past she can’t help but feel insecure about her place in the world and in people’s hearts.

The 100 picks up the pieces after Earth was ravaged by nuclear war and 2,658 survivors moved to the Ark. Clarke Griffin knows that the Ark is running out of oxygen, which is the reason (though not the public one) that she and 99 other "Delinquents" have been shipped to the wasteland that is Earth. It's a toss-up as to what is more dangerous: her surroundings or her companions.
