Living… in the 1990s in California, tending to a marijuana farm growing out of his garage.
Profession… former adult film star who is now working as an electrician. His latest project was for a mansion in Malibu owned by Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee and Baywatch’s Pamela Anderson. He was asked to do more work than was in the contract, and he wasn’t paid for it. When Rand asked for the $20,000 he was owed and pick up some of his tools, Tommy took out a gun. Refusing to be stiffed, Rand took matters into his own hands: he stole a safe from their garage and discovered a sex tape that Tommy and Pamela had made on their honeymoon.
Interests… theology and weed.
Relationship Status… married to Erica, a fellow adult film star who he met while filming on set together.
Challenge… becoming an Internet retailer in the early days of the World Wide Web. His old porn friend Miltie Ingley joins him as a business partner, and they take out a loan from a mobster to go into business selling the sex tape over the Internet. Rand hopes he can at least recoup the $20,000 he was owed. As Rand says, “All we’re doing is getting our money back in a slightly different form.” The good news is that there is big demand for the video, but the bad news is that mobsters aren’t happy when they don’t get paid back on time.
Personality… emotional, vengeful, and a bit bumbling. Rand tends to bottle up his emotions and lash them out at people who don’t exactly deserve to suffer from his misguided sense of right and wrong. He puts his all into efforts he believes align with his self-defined form of justice and karma. He often gets blind sighted by his desires and personal gains that he overthrows most sense of rationality, and especially, legality.
