Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Living… in Professor Digory Kirke’s old mansion. Originally from London, Peter and his siblings evacuated to the countryside to escape the Nazi air raids. Since their father is fighting in the war and their mother isn't with them, it is Peter's job as the eldest to prevent his siblings from feeling bored or neglected.

Visiting… the world of Narnia, after going through a magic wardrobe. A place of perpetual winter under the dictatorship of the White Witch, Narnia waits for the saviors who can bring spring back to their land.

Profession… student and leader of his siblings when he was in England. In Narnia, however, young Peter is tasked with leading the resistance against the White Witch.

Interests… going on adventures. Though he only likes them if his siblings can be safe, of course. In order to protect his family in Narnia, Peter quickly becomes a skilled swordsman and warrior.

Relationship Status… single. What with battling, taking care of his siblings, and studying, Peter hasn’t really given much thought to romantic relationships.

Challenge… keeping his siblings safe and saving Narnia. Quite by accident, the Pevensie children find themselves tangled up in an old Narnian prophecy. Used to taking charge, Peter is the natural leader, with his siblings looking to him to make the tough decisions and keep them safe. Peter might not set out with the goal of saving Narnia, protesting that “I think you’ve made a mistake. We’re not heroes.” But he has the definite potential to be a champion. He just needs a little push from a certain lion.

Personality… mature, brave, and protective. Maybe it’s because he was given the responsibility of taking care of his siblings at a young age, but Peter has a natural instinct for leading and fighting. He knows how to take responsibility and will do whatever he needs to in order to protect the people he loves.
