Penny Lane

Living... on the road, floating along on tour with Stillwater, an up-and-coming rock band.

Profession... groupie. Penny hates that term, but it's hard to deny that she's anything but. 

Interests... parties. Penny is welcome anywhere she goes because of her bubbly personality and fun-loving attitude. The party never really ends with Penny Lane.

Relationship Status... a long on-and-off relationship with the band's guitarist Russell. But she finds is now intrigued by young William Miller, the teenage rock journalist who is currently touring with Stillwater to write a cover story. Though perhaps not as intrigued as William is in her.

Challenge... lack of fulfillment or clearly defined identity, which perhaps she attempts to hide with her wild life on the road. Fortunately, she still has plenty of time to figure things out.

Personality… complicated. Penny knows her brand and has built it to perfection. She seems deliberately full of contradictions – naming herself after a Beatles song while somehow staying grounded, sleeping with a member of the band while insisting she’s there because of the music, living recklessly while being everybody’s mother. She represents the girl who wants nothing more than to be close to a rock star, and yet she’s ultimately more mysterious and free-spirited than the very people she aspires to please. Penny is perfectly stuck in time, in tune with the spirits and attitude of her era. But she can also be a victim of its most disillusioning, tragic qualities.
