Grew up… in San Francisco. When she was eighteen, her mother and stepfather were killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. After that, she dropped out of Caltech and became a renowned criminal hacker.
Living… in Quantico, Virginia. Garcia works for the FBI now, after she was recruited from their hacker watchlist to work for “the good guys”.
Profession… technical analyst for the Behavioral Analysis Unit in the FBI. Garcia puts her hacking skills to use tracking down serial killers and other criminals. She also serves as the unit’s ray of sunshine, helping cheer them up in the midst of an often grim job.
Interests… games and pretty things. Garcia likes to play online MMORPGs, including a Camelot-themed roleplaying game. She also fills her office with toys and other nice things to help her deal with the horrible images she often has to deal with in the course of her job.
Relationship Status… single. Garcia has a playful flirting relationship with coworker Derek Morgan, but they aren’t pursuing any romantic relationship. They do truly care for each other, though, and are probably the closest people on the team.
Challenge… catching the bad guys. Garcia is highly intelligent, and so is the rest of her team, but the criminals they go after aren’t your run-of-the-mill killers. It takes every skill the team has to track them down, and they often put their lives in danger to do it. It doesn’t help that Garcia has a soft heart, and is frequently reduced to tears when she sees pictures of their crimes.
Personality… cheerful, flamboyant, and funny. Garcia is a goth with a cotton-candy center. She loves teasing people, and often answers her phone with a funny comment, like “Office of Unfettered Omniscience – how may I help you, O fortunate one?” She’s incredibly intelligent, and a genius at her job. She has trouble facing the horrors that FBI crime investigation entails, but she’s managed to keep her optimism nonetheless.
