Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Grew Up… not at all. Pee-Wee has the body of an adult, but the attitude and demeanor of a small child. The people of his hometown consequently treat him like one as well, but that doesn't bother Pee-Wee.

Living… in a large house full of toys and gadgets. Pee-Wee goes through the same morning ritual every day: after he finishes playing with his toy fire truck and Mr. Potatohead, he starts up his elaborate breakfast-making system, which consists of a random array of devices that prepare his toast, flip his pancakes, and fry his eggs.

Visiting… his sunny, all-American town’s main street. Pee-Wee likes to frequent his favorite stores: Mario’s Magic Shop and Chuck’s Bike-O-Rama. He’s had some work done on his bike recently. “James Bond kinda stuff,” as he describes it.

Interests… toys and his prized bike. Pee-Wee enjoys all of his toys, but he keeps his custom-made bike locked away safely – it’s his most valued possession. As he tells Francis, a spoiled boy who covets the flashy bike, “I wouldn’t sell my bike for all the money in the world. Not for one hundred billion-million-TRILLION dollars!”

Relationship Status… none. Pee-Wee acts as if he's been permanently stuck in his cootie phase. Dotty, a girl who works at the bike shop, tries her best to seduce him, but Pee Wee seems oblivious to her charms.

Challenge… getting his bike back. The absolutely unthinkable has happened: despite the extensive security measures in place, Pee-Wee's bike was stolen from right under his nose. Though he has no solid evidence of it, Pee-Wee suspects the dastardly Francis was behind the crime, and he's determined to bring him to justice.

Personality… quirky, immature, and extremely odd. Pee-Wee doesn’t have much of an attention span, but his childishness isn’t much of a hindrance – wherever Pee-Wee goes, he quickly makes friends.
