(Avoiding Spoilers)
Living… with her family in Connecticut.
Profession… student at Newton High School. Paige is a gifted student and is on her way to graduating as the school’s valedictorian. She takes pride in her good work ethic and excellent academic performance, but that doesn’t mean anything to her peers. She is treated as an outcast, and Paige is getting fed up with that. Thankfully, she has made friends with other outcasts, including Sam Gardner who is brilliant like her and is on the autism spectrum.
Relationship Status… single. She has developed a crush on a certain boy at her school. She figured inviting him to study together for a biology test would be enough for him to get the hint. And it worked! But Paige wants to be careful about any next steps at school. As she tells her crush, “Rule number one: We don’t hold hands. We don’t hold books. We don’t hold anything. Well, except for each other – when I say that we can. Okay, we don’t discuss feelings, crushes, or finances. Oh! And our weekends are our own. If we happen to be eating lunch together or studying together, sit across the table from each other, not side by side like the French. But we do kiss like the French.“
Conflict… fitting in. With a strong, unapologetic personality, and a rather eccentric sense of style, Paige stands out whether she likes it or not.
Personality… bubbly, genuine, and determined. When she cares about someone, she goes above and beyond in making sure their needs are met and will defend them adamantly against others. However, she can get insecure when she feels excluded from her peers, and she has a tendency of spiraling quickly as a result. This may include developing an expensive addiction to sea equipment.
