Living... in a lakeside bungalow at Isla Nublar, an island off the coast of Costa Rica where the Jurassic World dinosaur theme park is built. Like any bachelor pad meets biker shack, Owen’s bungalow is a mess of bike parts, sporting equipment, and empty bottles. Cool cred: his bungalow is powered by solar panels.
Profession... Velociraptor trainer. After leaving the Navy, Owen was hired by Jurassic World to research and train their Velociraptors: Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. He is practically a raptor whisperer and can control them very well, so his colleagues, except Vic Hoskins, respect him. Vic and Owen butt heads over the nature of raptors. Unlike Vic, Owen understands that controlling the raptors is not the same thing as taming them.
Interests... training the Velociraptors, researching and studying the Velociraptors, playing hide and seek with the Velociraptors… basically: Velociraptors. In his spare time, he likes riding motorcycles and fishing.
Relationship Status... single but looking to mingle. He once went on a date with Claire Dearing, the park’s operation manager, but it didn’t go so well because Owen is looking for someone easygoing and fun. In his words: “What kind of diet doesn’t allow tequila?” He might have to get used to her, though, because they keep getting thrown together more and more.
Challenge... managing the dinosaurs. Between trying to keep the raptors in line and his colleagues alive, Owen’s got his hands full. When the park tries to attract investors by making a new dinosaur, he is roped into the chaos that ensues. As he puts it: “You just went and made a new dinosaur? Probably not a good idea…”
Personality... brave, charming, and just a bit flirty. Although he jokes around sometimes, Owen takes both human and dinosaur lives very seriously. He will risk his own life if it means helping his friends or saving people. Despite knowing that dinosaurs are dangerous, he has a soft spot for them and doesn’t like to see them suffer.
