Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Living... as a prisoner of and servant to Robb Stark, son of Lord Eddard Stark. She used to live beyond the Wall as a Wildling but decided to go “as far south as south goes” to escape the growing threat of undead White Walkers.
Profession... somewhere between captive of and companion to the Starks. After trying to steal horses from young Bran Stark, Osha was taken prisoner and made to work as a servant in the kitchens for the Starks. But when Bran begins having strange dreams, she may be the only one who can help him decipher them. Soon she is a trusted ally to Bran.
Interests… escaping the evils of the North. Robb Stark is leading an army to fight another noble family but Osha stresses that their real enemies are the White Walkers and wights who live north of the Wall, a giant ice structure protecting the Seven Kingdoms.
Relationship Status... married to Bruni back when she was living beyond the wall. But she says one day he disappeared and came back as an undead wight. The zombified Bruni tried to kill her but she burned their house, and hopefully him as well. She knows firsthand how terrifying those creatures can be and hopes the Starks will listen to her.
Challenge... convincing the Starks to focus their efforts on combatting the evil that’s rising in the North, instead of on battling the other lords of Westeros for the Iron Throne. Unfortunately, no one believes Osha’s stories of zombies and White Walkers. Such creatures haven’t been seen for thousands of years, and many people doubt whether they ever existed at all.
Personality... driven and determined enough to escape the North and brave enough to return. She’s an outsider with different gods, customs, and expectations than everyone else at Winterfell, but as an outsider she also has insight into things that no one else has. As the winds pick up and winter creeps ever closer, Osha will find her knowledge increasingly important.
