Olaf

Grew up… pretty quickly, thanks to Queen Elsa’s magic. Back when Elsa and Anna were younger and still close, they often still built snowmen together. Now that Elsa's powers have caused the sisters to be estranged, Olaf is the greatest physical reminder of their sisterly bond.

Living… in a wintry fjord created by Elsa. After a coronation gone spectacularly wrong, Elsa ended up unleashing an eternal winter on Arendelle. A byproduct of this winter, Olaf lives on the outskirts of Elsa's icy castle.

Interests… summer, the beach, and warm hugs. The greatest dream of Olaf’s life is to see summer, so he can’t wait for Elsa to thaw the fjord and feel the warmth of the sun on his icy face.    

Challenge… not melting. While the fjord is magically frozen, Olaf is able to tag along with Anna and Kristoff to help bring Elsa and summer back to Arendelle. But Olaf doesn’t realize at first what happens to snow when winter ends. And even when he finally finds out, he cares too much about Anna and Elsa to not help them. As he tells Anna, "some people are worth melting for."

Personality… innocent, happy, and loving. Possessing Anna's optimism and Elsa's creativity, Olaf embodies all of the playfulness and love the two princesses shared as children.
