Overview… a single mother who is overworked and underpaid. In fact, everyone is in her tiny factory town. In return for powering through gruesome hours and conditions, the workers at the cotton mill receive meager wages. When union organizer, Reuben Warshowsky, arrives to stir up a unionization effort, Norma is inspired to bring justice to the factory. It’ll be a tough fight, but she’s prepared to see it through to the very end.
Personality… feisty and stubborn. Norma Rae is a force to be reckoned with. She’s the mouthiest worker at the cotton mill and refuses to back down until conditions are improved. Unionizing won’t be an easy task, but if anybody can succeed, it’s Norma Rae.
