(Avoiding Spoilers)

Living… in a high-rise Chicago bachelor apartment. Nick usually lives alone, but his 15-year-old daughter, Alex, is currently staying for a couple of weeks (while her mother is away).

Profession… copywriter for an advertising agency, specifically working on the Sears account. Sears recently realized women’s purchasing power after an ad stating, “Come see the softer side of Sears,” increased their revenues by 30%. Sears’ executives immediately requested a series of ads specifically targeting women…an attempt to retain their new female clientele.

Interests… exploiting his newly acquired gift – the ability to read women’s minds. A born salesman, Nick uses his ability to skillfully tailor ads to what women really want.

Relationship Status… single. Nick is a perpetual bachelor who has not seriously dated in a long time. He is intrigued, however, with his new boss, Darcy McGuire.

Challenge… keeping his daughter out of trouble and figuring out what he wants in life. Nick has been an absent parent until now, but wants to be more involved in Alex’s life. Particularly worrisome is her new boyfriend, who only seems interested in getting in her pants.

Personality… narcissistic. Being able to read women’s thoughts has its downsides – and the brutal honesty is making him reconsider aspects of his life.
