Ben Gross

Living… in a mansion in Sherman Oaks, California. While he lives with two parents, they are extremely busy. He is attached to Patty, his housekeeper, but her company is restricted to a 9 to 5 workday schedule. Their huge house is often enjoyed by Ben alone.

Profession… sophomore at Sherman Oaks High School. Ben is brilliant and excels at all academic subjects. He’s determined to beat another gifted student, Devi, at anything and everything she pursues.

Interests… Model UN and basketball.

Relationship Status… dating Shira, a fellow sophomore on the field hockey team. Ben loves to brag about his “hot” girlfriend. But they’re not exactly star-crossed lovers, as Shira is just interested in having him around for her Instagram and Snapchat pictures. She cares for him just as one would enjoy a prop. His money and celebrity connections are also a plus, of course.

Challenge… feeling alone. Despite his boasting about his amazing life, Ben has a life that is far from that. He goes so far as teasing Devi only so that he has someone to talk to. As Ben admits, “You think you are a loser? I was so lonely I got catfished by a middle-aged man yesterday.”

Personality… complicated. Ben comes off as pretentious, due to his academic gifts and affluent family, which he flaunts quite often. Though, deep down he’s insecure and lonely. When it counts, Ben is more than willing to help those he cares about if they need him.
