Nathan Fielder

Living… in Los Angeles, California. Nathan’s personal life is a bit of a mystery, but he makes sure his viewers don’t forget that he is a Canadian businessman, who graduated from the University of Victoria, with really good grades… The term “good” might be a stretch, but Nathan doesn’t seem to have an issue with stretching the truth when needed. 

Profession… business consultant. Nathan travels around Los Angeles searching for struggling businesses, but not businesses that are struggling too much. When he finds a worthy establishment, Nathan uses his “business expertise” in order to reel in customers. Sometimes this expertise is unsolicited, but that doesn’t stop Nathan from going all out to save a struggling family business. 

Challenge… angry customers, disgruntled employees, and unsatisfied business owners. Nathan is never short on ideas that could help a company grow. Often, he is more than willing to get his hands dirty, like the time he made customers climb a mountain with him to get a $10 rebate. Despite all this, Nathan’s ideas are often failures. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to impact him in any way. 

Personality… quirky and immature. Nathan’s own words describe himself best: “When you look at me you probably see a guy who has it all, but really there’s a large part of me that’s immature and undeveloped.” Nathan has unconventional ideas that often lead to unconventional results. He is a man of flaws, but those flaws somehow make him loveable, which in turn boosts his ego in a dangerous way. Nathan may not be any good at what he does, but he sure is entertaining.
