Character Analysis

Grew Up… in Wiskayok, New Jersey with her two parents in a broken home. Natalie’s teen years were full of surviving under her looming and abusive father. Her mother has been worn down by years of mistreatment, so at home, Natalie was basically on her own. To help cope with everything, she picked up an addiction that only furthered her feelings of being an outcast in high school.
Living… in unstable conditions. She currently spends her time in and out of rehab and motels.
Profession… unemployed. She spends much of her time trying to find who is mailing postcards with a secret symbol that threatens to reveal the truth about a traumatic event she underwent in high school involving the soccer team she was on.
Interests… music, smokey eye makeup, and edgy habits. In high school, Nat and her then best friend, Kevyn Tan, bonded over Nirvana and other non-mainstream music. In the present day, Nat is still as cool as ever. She is often decked out in rock band T-shirts, a goth style, and of course, her signature eye makeup.
Relationship Status… single. Natalie still holds a lot of affection for her ex, Travis. He is the son of the soccer team's coach. The two of them provided necessary comfort for each other when they were younger.
Challenge… overcoming her addiction and dealing with the ongoing trauma from her past. She is also on a mission to find Travis, her ex-boyfriend whom she’s lost contact with.
Personality… bold, blunt, and kind. Nat is an outcast and marches to the beat of her own drum. She is self-aware and acknowledges how prior events have affected her. Her fellow high school soccer friends Shauna and Tai may appear more put together than her. But as Natalie tells them, "You guys are just f***ed up as I am. You're just better at hiding it."
