Mr. Peanutbutter

Grew Up… on the Labrador peninsula, where “nothing bad ever happens.” The runt of the litter, his childhood was pretty much idyllic. 

Living… in a mansion in LA earned with his sitcom money. His home has everything a dog could need—including a soundproof thunder room for storms and the 4th of July—but most importantly, he shares it with his girlfriend Diane. 

Interests… sticks, v-neck t-shirts, drives spent with his head stuck out the window, complicated, and slightly confusing movie references. He has a cynical view of life, saying "The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't to search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead."

Relationship Status… dating and living with his girlfriend, Diane Nguyen. He’s been married twice before, once to actress Jessica Biel, but neither of those relationships worked out. He’s an incredibly devoted boyfriend, though, so he’s sure this time will be different.

Profession… actor. He rose to fame on the sitcom Mr Peanutbutter’s House (which Bojack insists is a knockoff of his own show), but he’s full of (often impractical) ideas and has the money to make a lot of them happen, although not the follow through. Currently, he’s filming a reality show called Peanutbutter and Jelly.

Challenges… not many. Mr. Peanutbutter is generally very satisfied with his life. It does seem like Bojack and his girlfriend are getting very close, but he’s not the jealous type, and he wants to be better friends with Bojack, who has always been prickly towards him, anyway. Even when things do frustrate him, he’s very good at shrugging them off and moving on.

Personality… exuberant, loving, and occasionally a little obtuse. Mr. Peanutbutter loves meeting new people, and he has a natural charisma that makes new people love meeting him, too. Things have always come easy to Mr Peanutbutter as a result. He’s impulsive, very much a creature of habit, and extremely loyal. Sometimes, he can be slow to take a hint or understand something, but it’s not always clear to the people around him how much of his lovable boneheadedness is an act—sometimes, he demonstrates astonishing clarity.
