Moose Mason

Profession… best athlete at Riverdale High and has coined the nickname ‘Big Moose Mason’ for his tall, stocky build. Being blessed with great strength, he outshines everyone on any field at the school. Leading many of the Riverdale High teams to victory has earned him popularity and many friends at school.

Relationship Status… dating Midge. Moose wants to make sure to protect his “gurl” friend, Midge, from any romantic pursuers. He’s often known to hide behind park benches she frequents so in case any man tries to talk to her, he can jump out and beat him up. This causes some strain in their relationship as Midge is occasionally annoyed by his possessiveness over her as it causes her to be avoided by all the Riverdale guys. However, when other girls show interest towards Moose, Midge expresses the same jealousy.

Challenge… dealing with his dyslexia. He often struggles with school and is seen as dim-witted and dull by other students. Unfortunately, as his family are poor Russian immigrants, he can’t get the help and accommodation he needs to keep up with his peers academically. Luckily, his friends are always eager to help him out and tutor him to pass whatever upcoming test.

Personality… don’t let his self-proclaimed ‘dumbness’ fool you! What he lacks in academic intelligence, he makes up for with his emotions. He is loved by the rest of the gang for his compassionate and kind nature. He’s shown to be intensely loyal to his friends and shows care for the well-being of animals and young children. One of his closest friends is Dilton who he deeply admires for his academic capability. Through their interactions, it is obvious that Moose views the world in a way that is uniquely poetic and philosophical.
