Overview... an elderly “lady” of the Victorian era. Miss Havisham lives in her mansion, Satis House, and entertains herself by living vicariously through Estella, a young orphan who Miss Havisham adopts and makes a project out of by deciding to turn Estella into a “lady” like herself. That often includes messing with the head of a young man named Pip.
Personality… mysterious and eccentric. Miss Havisham doesn’t like to explain herself. She would much rather confuse people and get a kick out of watching them ponder over her intentions. She never removes her wedding dress and doesn’t communicate with many people – only those she has chosen carefully.

This stunning adaptation of Dickens' classic tale was captured live from the Vaudeville Theatre in the West End. Although Great Expectations has been adapted for film on two separate occasions, once by David Lean in 1946 and most recently by Mike Newell, it has never been produced for The West End or Broadway, widely believed to be too difficult to translate to stage. However, this Jo Clifford adaptation has been universally acclaimed as a triumph on its sellout tour of the UK head of its West End debut.
