Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Living... in Tokyo, in a mansion overlooking a nearby apartment complex. It's a nice house, but Misaki's especially fond of the view. After all, how else would she keep tabs on her newest "project," recluse Tatsuhiro Sato?

Profession… high school student, or so she says. Misaki certainly looks and acts young enough to still be in school, but she has a lot of spare time for someone who should be preparing for college.

Interests… Tatsuhiro Sato, a college dropout who's spent the last year cooped up in his apartment. When Misaki learns of Sato's life, instead of being repulsed, she's intrigued. Telling him "I've come to rescue you," Misaki takes on as Sato her personal project, promising him that she make him socially well-adjusted again.

Relationship Status… single. Other than Sato, Misaki doesn't seem to have a lot of friends, and what relationship she does have with Sato consists mostly of her psychoanalyzing him.

Challenge… changing Sato's life around. Although Misaki confidently tells Sato, "I know how to cure you of your hikikomori [reclusive] ways," he proves to be quite a difficult patient. No matter what Misaki tries, Sato can't seem to let go of his inclination to seclude himself away.

Personality… sweet, demure, and helpful – almost uncannily so. Cheerful and pretty, Misaki appears in Sato's life suddenly and mysteriously, and like a fairy godmother, promises to make all his problems disappear. But Misaki's almost a little too invested in helping Sato, and there are hints that despite all her attempts to cast herself as Sato's savior, Misaki might need some help, too.
