Maya Randall

Overview... waitress at a wine-oriented restaurant amidst the vineyards of California. A frequent recent visitor to her restaurant, the frustrated unpublished novelist Miles, has taken a liking to her. Although she returns his feelings, it’s difficult to get close to him because of his anxieties and awkwardness.

Personality… vivacious, fun, and warm. Maya loves fine wines, and she really knows her stuff. She would never touch a Merlot (like Miles) and Pinot Noir is a favorite. She has her own collection, but never really has an occasion to open a great bottle. Miles isn’t an easy person to love, but the naturally sympathetic Maya can sense that he’s a good person beneath his wounded exterior.
