Maya Lambert

Overview... a C.I.A. agent obsessed with finding and killing Osama bin Laden. Since graduating and being recruited by the agency, she’s been solely focused on gathering information on bin Laden. At one point she accompanies her partner Dan to a secret “black” site, where he interrogates Ammar al-Baluchi, a detainee with suspected ties to al-Qaeda. The “enhanced” interrogation treads the line of torture, but leads do develop. Maya doggedly follows those threads through the ensuing years through a combination of high-tech tools and old-fashioned persistence. But sometimes it seems that she’s tracking a ghost.

Personality... unwavering and consumed with the task at hand. Maya’s determination to track down bin-Laden comes with a price. She has no apparent friends or relatives, nor any relief from the harrowing task ahead of her. Her silent, repressed manner is the only way she can stand the horrific things she witnesses on a daily basis. Her dedication and perseverance is what keeps her going, even as the possibility of failure is ever-present.
