Overview… a divorced author who never quite got over her high school glory days. Depressed and stricken with a severe case of writer’s block, Mavis Gary decides to change her life by winning back her old high school boyfriend, Buddy Slade. Only problem is, he already has a wife and kid.

Personality… selfish and immature. Mavis is the very definition of a hot mess. She drinks too much, has far too many one-night stands, and has zero moral qualms about destroying a happy marriage. Mavis may already be 37, but she certainly has a lot of growing up to do.
