Overview... a young working mother. It's not easy being a woman in 1912, especially when you're a laundress in London's grimy East End. Grueling labor, sexual harassment, long hours—Maud puts up with all of it, but she's starting to realize that something has to change.
Personality... dedicated, but downtrodden. Since the age of seven, Maud Watts has worked ceaselessly for the Glasshouse Laundry, only to gain very little in return. The city's suffragettes have started to protest against unfair pay, but joining them could mean losing everything.
