Overview… a laid-back 8th grader. Matty doesn’t understand why his best friend Jenna is so interested in becoming one of the popular crowd. They’re total zombies and she’s way too original to stoop to their level. But good luck convincing an insecure middle-school girl to believe that. Maybe he’ll have better luck when they’re both 30 years old, which may happen much sooner than anyone thinks...
Personality… easy-going and thoughtful. Matty doesn’t always agree with Jenna’s social aspirations, but he remains a supportive and reliable friend. He definitely has a breaking point, though, and it’s only a matter of time before Jenna pushes him away for good. Or for nearly two decades, anyway.
