Marty McFly

Living... in Hill Valley, a northern California town, in the 1980s. His mother is always lecturing him and telling him that she never did half the crazy things he likes to do. He used to think she was born a nun, but not anymore.

Visiting... 1955. He came there with a scientist he knows, Dr. Emmit Brown or "Doc" for short. Doc made a time machine out of a DeLorean car and some plutonium he got his hands on. But the terrorists he stole the plutonium from wanted it back and shot him, while Marty escaped in the time machine. Going back to the 1950s, when his mom and dad grew up, is quite a trip.

Profession... student. Marty goes to Hill Valley High School, the same school he attended in the 80s, but in the 50s the trees are smaller and there is no graffiti or broken windows. Even in high school, his father is getting picked on by his future bully of a boss, Biff. Marty finds it funny how things haven't really changed.

Interests... playing the guitar. He's pretty good and wants to play professionally, but the kids in 1955 think his music is too loud. They have never heard of rock and roll, much less Jimi Hendrix or Little Richard.

Relationship Status... dating Jennifer. But now that he is in the 1950s, his mother "has the hots" for him. It’s a sticky situation that Marty clearly wants to avoid at all costs.

Challenge... fixing the mess he made by interfering with his parents' first meeting in 1955. If they don't meet, they won't fall in love, they won't get married and they won't have kids. That's why his older brother is disappearing from a photograph he has. His sister will follow and unless he repairs the damage, Marty will be next.

Personality... determined. He grew up with people telling him no McFly would ever amount to anything. But nothing is going to stop him from getting what he wants out of life — not even time or space.
