Overview… crime-fiction writer who is using his sleuthing skills to help the love of his life be exonerated. Mark has been having an affair with the married Margot Wendice. Unfortunately for the both of them, Margot's husband has found out about their secret romance, and arranged a former acquaintance named Swann to murder her. The good news is that Margot ended up defending herself and killing Swann. But the bad news is that she has been convicted of his murder in the process.
Personality… loving, smart, and resourceful. He is a much better partner for Margot than her cold-blooded husband.

An ex-tennis pro carries out a plot to have his wife murdered after discovering she is having an affair, and assumes she will soon leave him for the other man anyway. When things go wrong, he improvises a new plan - to frame her for murder instead.
