Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Overview... hedge fund manager sick and tired of the unfair practices of the Wall Street big banks. He wakes up every morning with one goal in mind:  to shut down fraudulent traders and funds. When he's alerted to a deal that could shine a light on the junk bonds that make up the mid-00s housing bubble, he jumps on board. Earning hundreds of millions of dollars is just a nice by-product.

Personality... blunt, aggressive, and frustrated. Mark is the loudest, angriest guy at his anger management support group. He believes in justice; whether yelling at people who steal taxis or calling out illegal subprime loans, he demands order in his life. He lost his brother at a young age to suicide. As a result, Mark craves fairness and control in the rest of his life. He's the Larry David of the finance world, unafraid to break social norms to fight for what's right.
