Marinette Dupain-Cheng / Ladybug

Grew Up... in Paris, France. She is half Chinese and half French.

Living... above the Paris bakery that her family owns. Before accepting her role as Ladybug, Marinette is a normal high school student.

Profession... a fashion student by day, superhero by night. Marinette's alter ego is Ladybug and has the power of creation. She fights against Hawk Moth and his akumatized villains (normal people turned into villains.)

Interests... designing and making clothes, doing graphic design, saving the world.

Relationship Status... single, but she has a debilitating crush on her classmate Adrien Ageste. What's complicated is that she also has a developing crush on Cat Noir, who unbeknownst to her, is actually Adrien Ageste's superhero alter ego. It's a sticky situation!

Challenge... taking down super villains, dealing with actions driven by irrational jealousy over Adrien, and keeping her civilian and superhero life separate.

Personality... sweet and outgoing, with the occasional bout of low self-esteem. Marinette takes her duty as Ladybug very seriously and cares deeply for people. And although she is clever, often coming up with intricate plots on the spot as Ladybug, Marinette is also often clumsy and prone to accidents.
