Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Grew Up… the youngest of four children. Growing up with siblings Peter, Susan, and Edmund, Lucy's always been the baby of the family. But while she loves her brothers and sister, sometimes Lucy wishes she could be a little older, just so they could take her more seriously.

Living... with kind but eccentric Professor Digory. After World War II breaks out, the Pevensies are sent to the countryside for their own safety. It's a little scary being on their own, but the children quickly manage to fill their time playing and exploring.

Visiting... Narnia. After getting lost in one of Professor Digory's wardrobes during a game of hide-and-seek, Lucy stumbles into the land of Narnia, a wonderful land full of magical creatures and talking animals. And when her siblings won't believe her, Lucy stubbornly puts her foot down: "I don't care what you think, and I don't care what you say [...] you can do anything you like. I know I've met a Faun in there."

Profession… student. Well, an ex-student for now. Between the war and Narnia, Lucy's been a little too busy to focus on schoolwork.

Interests… exploring and helping others. Lucy's curiosity is what leads her to Narnia, but it's her sense of compassion that makes her stay there. After all, if there's anything Lucy can do to help stop the wicked White Witch's eternal winter, then she'll do it.

Relationship Status… single. Lucy's only 8 and not at all interested in dressing up in fancy clothes or boys – of course she's single!

Challenge… helping save Narnia. It's not going to be an easy task. The White Witch's magic is still powerful, and her habit of turning her enemies into stone doesn't exactly encourage revolt. Still, Lucy has faith that with the return of Aslan, Narnia's long-lost lion king, everything will work out.

Personality… sweet, innocent, and brave. Lucy's just a child, so she has a fairly rose-tinted view of the world – she won't hesitate to shake hands with a faun or talk with a family of beavers. Still, her naivety is usually quite endearing, and it wins her more than one valuable friend.
