Overview… a young woman from a good family at the precipice of change. Her older brother, Max, is a student at Princeton, and Lucy will start college herself soon. But her relatively normal life is turned upside down by two things: meeting Max’s handsome English friend, Jude; and the draft for the Vietnam War. Soon she has to decide what ideals she really wants to follow, and how far she’s willing to go to support them.
Personality… intelligent, idealistic, and playful. Lucy has a lot of brains, which used to appear mainly in the form of witty conversation. Now she’s getting involved in the anti-war movement, and she’s extremely passionate about the cause. She thinks a lot about politics, but sometimes her ideals can blind her to the costs incurred on both sides of an argument.
