Overview… the definition of team player. Lou Gehrig’s life would have been much different if he had listened to his mother who wanted him to be an engineer. But Lou, an extremely talented baseball player, had other ideas for his career. Without his mother knowing, he drops out of Columbia University to join the minor leagues. And he is so good at baseball that he gets scouted by the Yankees. Lou finally stands up to his mother to marry the girl he loves, and it seems like he’s finally gotten his happily ever after. But then he starts noticing that he’s losing his strength.

Personality… consistent, inspirational, sentimental. A man with multitudes of friends and fans, Lou is hero who takes the time to fulfill promises to sick boys and who would take himself out of the game for the team’s sake.
