However, when her showgirl work takes her to France without Gus, Gus' no-nonsense father hires a hardened private detective to watch her for any infidelity or other questionable behavior.

Challenge… keeping the private detective Malone off her tail, and staying out of a scandal. When Sir Francis, a rich owner of a diamond mine, approaches her, it seems like Lorelei just can’t resist the temptation. Knowing Lorelei, if there’s diamonds involved, there seems little doubt that she will talk her way into sticky situations.
