Overview… a teenage girl figuring out how to grow up. It helps that her two best friends, Lizzie and Gordo, are there to support Miranda along the way. Miranda and her family are Mexican and Mexican culture is really important to Miranda – although, speaking Spanish is definitely not her strong suit.
Personality… smart, witty, and supportive. Miranda is there for the people she loves, always there to talk it out with Lizzie or babysit her little sister. She can be feisty, especially when dealing with her nemesis Kate Sanders, but it’s only because she cares a lot.

As Lizzie McGuire grows up, there's a lot to figure out—from buying her first bra to dealing with friend-turned-mean girl Kate Sanders. Lizzie is a sweet girl, and for the times when she's feeling a little less-than-sweet, her animated alter-ego is happy to step in and speak for her. Being a teenage girl means having a lot of feelings, and Lizzie's alter-ego helps her express it all.
