Overview… a 14-year-old girl who just wants to know her mom. Deborah Owens died when Lily was just a young girl and her abusive father, T-Ray, refuses to talk about his wife in detail. Thus, Lily takes matters into her own hands by escaping to Tiburon, a town where her mother is thought to have lived for a while. She ends up at the house of the kindly Boatwright sisters. During her stay, Lily slowly uncovers Deborah’s past and the truth behind her death.
Personality... headstrong and tough. Lily Owens doesn’t scare easily. She remains defiant in the face of T-Ray’s many threats and stands up to him. Although Lily is more than capable of taking care of herself, she still longs for the warmth of her mother. Perhaps being in Tiburon can help.
