Overview... a recently bereaved woman who’s struggling with her grief. While in that state, Leticia forms a relationship with an equally grief-stricken correctional officer, Hank. They live in the deep South, unfortunately, where their interracial relationship is looked upon with cruel eyes.
Personality… depressed and understandably seeking comfort. Leticia has never known pain so powerful and overwhelming. Hank offers some solace, but Hank’s racist father Buck creates more tension when he attempts to degrade her. Leticia stays strong, though, and now knows that she can survive anything.

Set in the Southern United States, 'Monster's Ball' is a tale of a racist white man, Hank, who falls in love with a black woman named Leticia. Ironically Hank is a prison guard working on Death Row who executed Leticia's husband. Hank and Leticia's interracial affair leads to confusion and new ideas for the two unlikely lovers.
