Character Analysis

Living… a nightmare. He used to live in a small town in a humble home with his wife, Alma, and some chickens. That life was all he ever needed, the two had a lovely bubble in their home where they cared for each other unapologetically. The two were unable to be open with their relationship in public due to being an interracial couple in a racist town. While the two would never willingly leave each other, a supernatural event occurs that separates them and forever changes everything. As he says, “There is no God. Not a God who would create the things I saw."

Profession… former gas station attendant. But he’s not working anymore. He has been admitted to the Briarcliff Asylum for crimes to which his connection is questionable. The conditions there are awful.

Interests… quiet moments with people he likes. Kit is so familiar with pain, but he thoroughly enjoys any of the small joys he can get. Despite the hellish space that is Briarcliff, Kit manages to make a friend, Grace. The two connect on the basis that they have both been falsely accused of their crimes and are “not crazy,” unlike the others.

Challenge… trying to prove his innocence and sanity. Accused of harming his wife and being the Bloody Face Killer, his fate seems to be sealed to staying at the Briarcliff Asylum or being executed in prison. All Kit can do is wait at Briarcliff until others decide how to proceed with his case. It’s causing him to 

Personality… selfless and loyal. Despite all that he’s gone through, Kit still cares about others. He will endure torture to every nerve ending in his body if it means helping someone else. He’ll lash out when seeing mistreatment and once he decides to let someone into the group of people he is loyal to, he’ll do anything for them and be stubborn about it too. Despite his new reputation, he is likable.
