Grew up... an adopted son. Born in 1968, Kazuma’s parents died when he was very young. He was then cared for by Shintaro Kazama, an associate of the Tojo Yakuza clan.
Living... in the Japanese underworld. Kazuma’s commitments to his clan have him traveling to the seediest Japanese streets and into the most debauched hostess bars. His home district of Kamurocho is the “Sin City” of Tokyo.
Profession... gangster. Kazuma is a feared and respected member of the Tojo Clan, a powerful Yakuza crime organization. So his duties range from managing illegal side business to taking out rival gangsters.
Interests… protecting the weak. Despite being a criminal, Kazuma has a strong, protective side. He cares for children he has no connection to; he even starts an orphanage. He also enjoys karaoke and baseball on the side.
Relationship Status... separated. Kazuma was engaged to a woman named Yumi. However, after being imprisoned for a decade, he discovers that she has mysteriously disappeared. Finding her is one of his top priorities.
Challenge... reclaiming his clan’s stolen money. After taking the blame for the death of his previous boss Dojima, Kazuma is sent to prison for 10 years and cut off from the clan. When he returns, he wants to set everything right. To get started, he begins searching for the ten billion yen stolen from the clan, while fending off others interested in the prize.
Personality... tough, strong, and honorable. While he does exhibit the typical gruffness one would expect from a gangster, Kazuma is also noble and self-sacrificing. However, he’s far from weak. His legendary strength and exploits have earned him the nickname of “The Dragon of Dojima.” As he says to his enemies, “It’s just your bad luck to have run into me.”
