Kayla Pospisil

Grew up… with her family who watched Fox News religiously. They watched Fox News on holidays, as she says, “especially on holidays,” and Fox is like church to them. 

Profession… commentator on The O’Reilly Factor, a talk show that discusses controversial political events and opinions with its guests.  She used to work in the control room on the first floor at Fox, but now she’s on air after successfully pitching herself. 

Relationship Status… developing. Her unofficial mentor, Jess Carr, is the producer of the O’Reilly show and guides Kayla on how to keep her nerves (and her job) in the chaotic newsroom. The two get along quite well with each other, but that becomes interesting when this holds true even outside their work building…

Challenges… too much going on. She’s used to the anarchy that is the control room, but things are escalating with Roger Ailes, the chairman of Fox News. His unadulterated frustration channelled towards Fox and Friends ex-host Gretchen Carlson is shocking. 

Personality… persuasive, sincere, and ambitious. But behind her good-natured and honest resolution is vulnerability: she’s afraid that one slip-up might tumble her into failure, and she takes on more than she can handle because she wants to be at the top. But at what cost?
