Character Analysis

Grew Up... with her father. Kay Faraday is the daughter of prosecutor Byrne Faraday. She was raised by him and her “Uncle” Tyrell Badd until Byrne was murdered during a trial.
Living... in Los Angeles. After spending years abroad with her mom and other relatives, Kay eventually returned to Los Angeles after searching through some of her father’s old belongings.
Profession... Yatagarasu. Kay is the second person to adopt the identity of the “Yatagarasu,” or “Great Thief.” Acting more like a vigilante, she investigates using a “Little Thief,” a device that creates holographic simulations.
Interests... the truth. As the Yatagarasu, finding the truth is Kay’s biggest priority. As she says, “Even in the depths of night, when no other bird dares to take flight, one alone soars to shine the light of righteousness on the world's blight! And that one is me! For I am the Great Thief, Yatagarasu!”
Relationship Status... single. She has time since she’s still just a teenager. Romance aside, Kay has known prosecutor Miles Edgeworth since she was a child. She even sneezed into his cravat after hearing about her father’s murder. So when she returns to L.A., she is very interested in assisting him.
Challenge... fighting the Prosecutorial Investigation Committee. Mysteries still surround the murder of Byrne Faraday, and with Edgeworth’s legal help, Kay is determined to solve them. But this makes them the enemy of both an international smuggling ring along with the entire Prosecutorial Investigation Committee.
Personality... curious. Kay is a snoopy teenager who believes she is fighting for truth and justice while the courts are not.

Ace Attorney 6 continues the investigation and courtroom of its predecessors, in which players take the role of the defense attorneys; Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes, and try to defend their clients. The game continues the 3D navigation introduced in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney—Dual Destinies, allowing players to navigate environments from various angles. Along with returning gameplay elements, such as the Mood Matrix introduced in Dual Destinies, the game introduces Spirit Medium Vision, in which the players are shown the memories of victims moment before their deaths and must find contradictions in their five senses to determine what really happened.

In Dual Destinies, the player must utilize evidence and find contradictions in witness statements to prove their client innocent. Like previous installments, gameplay is split up between Investigations, in which players find evidence and question witnesses, and Trials, where they must use the evidence to expose contradictions.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney—Trials and Tribulations is the third game in the Ace Attorney series. Players take on the role of Phoenix Wright, a defense attorney known for taking on seemingly impossible cases. While the game focuses on a few specific cases, the overarching story of the Phoenix Wright franchise spans the length of the series, involving obscure characters from large families and intricate webs of lies, plots, and murder.
