Kate Macer

Living... nowhere specific. As an FBI Special Agent, Kate is sent to various places around the United States, meaning she can't settle down in one place. Right now, she is in Chandler, Arizona to deal with a cartel safe house.

Profession... FBI Special Agent. She works alongside Reggie Wayne, who is less experienced. It is far from an easy job; in Chandler, Kate and her fellow agents make a gruesome discovery that makes several teammembers retch in disgust. After joining a Joint Task Force, she must put her life on the line to get to the root of the cartel empire responsible for what she witnessed in Chandler.

Interests... justice and finding the truth. The regions on either side of the US-Mexico border, such as El Paso, Ciudad Juarez, Nogales, and Chandler are becoming increasingly violent. After the events at the safe house, Kate is driven to find who is responsible, motivating her difficult choice to join the Joint Task Force.

Relationship Status... divorced, currently single. Kate currently has no children. Occasionally, she might meet someone at a bar for a fling.

Challenge... discovering the root of the cartel empire while navigating her role in the Joint Task Force. Kate's new assignment is more difficult than anything she has encountered previously– the stakes could not be higher. When a gunfight ensues while transporting a prisoner, Kate questions the trigger-happy nature of her peers, pondering "What am I doing here?" Moreover, it seems like Matt Graver and Alejandro Gillick – higher-level members of the Task Force – know more than they are letting on. Being the only woman in her team also presents its own set of challenges.

Personality... motivated and independent. Kate has a strong moral compass which drives her to persevere in her difficult role as a member of the Task Force. Sometimes, she pushes herself to the point of neglecting her personal hygiene, as Reggie points out. Meanwhile, she isn't taking everything for granted; she has questions and suspicions about others' motivations, which may be darker than they initially appear.
