Grew up… around the world including Manhattan and Hong Kong. Never staying in one place for too long, she’s had to move quite often to avoid being taken into social services that suspect she may be homeless. One day she disappeared through random doors that led her to discover the Brimstone shop with Issa, Yasri, and Twiga, who have become her chimaera family.
Living… alone in an apartment in Prague. But she doesn’t spend much time there. When she’s not at school, she’s running errands, spending time with Issa and Yasri at Brimsstone, or visiting Zuzanna at Poison Kitchen.
Interests… drawing. An art student, Karou has sketchbooks filled with drawings of things or people prevalent in her life. Those around her, whether it be human or chimaera, admire her sketches and fanciful stories. She loves eating goulash at Poison Kitchen with Zuzanna and talking about annoying ex-boyfriends, potential boyfriends, and the poor choice of clothing of teachers.
Relationship Status… single. She has had quite a bit of trouble shaking herself off from the grimy hands of her ex-boyfriend Kazimir. Sure, he’s good looking and popular with the girls, but Karou doesn’t appreciate his teasing and is rather repulsed by him. She’s facing a magnetic pull towards not just a stranger, but the enemy of chimaera: an angel…
Personality… charming and mysterious. Karou technically doesn’t lie, but she prefers to say that she withholds some truths in her life. As blatant as she is about the legitimacy of her chimaera family, her human peers seem to think this is a result of her wild imagination. She has her admirers, but she also feels lonely and misunderstood.
