Karl Mordo

Living… a life of discipline. As a follower of the Ancient One, Karl Mordo sticks to her strict training regimen for sorcerers. Although he came to Kamar-Taj to seek revenge after suffering a great personal loss, he discovered a new purpose and dedicated himself to the mystic arts.

Profession… a sorcerer. Mordo belongs to the Masters of the Mystic Arts, a powerful organization committed to protecting Earth against mystical threats.  As a close ally of its leader, the Ancient One, he assists her by recruiting and training new soldiers.

Interests… martial arts and magic. Mordo is a master at both, having trained and struggled for numerous years under the tutelage of the Ancient One.

Relationship Status… devoted to the one. Well, the Ancient One. Mordo may be her most dedicated follower now, but he acknowledges that their relationship wasn’t always so smooth: “I was disrespectful too. So, might I offer you some advice? Forget everything that you think you know.”

Challenge… defeating Kaecilius and his Zealots. Mordo must protect Earth from the dark forces they are trying to unleash. To do this, he’ll need new allies who have an affinity for the mystic arts. Perhaps that desperate-looking neurosurgeon Stephen Strange who’s wandering around Tibet would be a good candidate…

Personality… unyielding. Mordo never gives up on a fight and he never compromises on his principles. Although he is a staunch defender of justice, the Ancient One notes that he may be too rigid for his own good.
