Overview… a pharmacist in Mumbai. Kala is engaged to the son of her company’s CEO. Rajan is caring, handsome, and intelligent, but she does not truly return his affections. Her parents are overjoyed at her upcoming “love marriage,” but Kala feels trapped between duty and desire. She has not experienced true love before, but she feels an inexplicable pull to Wolfgang, a member of her Cluster, an eight-person group that’s mentally linked.
Personality… faithful, intelligent, and a bit sheltered. Kala is both a devout Hindu and a rational scientist. As she puts it, "My love for science doesn’t preclude my faith. For me, science is another language we use to talk about the same miracles faith talks about."
