Living... in New York City. Julia graduated from Columbia University and was on her way to pursue secondary education at Yale.
Profession... hedge witch. Julia failed the admissions test to Brakebills University, a school for the magically inclined. Instead of allowing her memories to be erased by Brakebills, Julia refuses to go back to her old mundane life and is determined to enter the world of magic.

Relationship Status... dating James, her highschool sweetheart. Julia's quest to find a path for her magical abilities puts a strain on the relationship, and only time will tell if their bond will remain intact.
