Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Overview… a bookish New Yorker who works for a prominent art magazine. Judy is quiet and shy, though her ex-husband labels her as “passive-aggressive.” Things haven’t been going well with her current husband, Gabe. She admits that she likes to picture herself being single. Gabe, a Columbia professor, can tend to be a bit critical. Plus, it’s not as if they’ve been very intimate recently.
Personality… soft-spoken, timid, and sensitive. Judy doesn’t seem to know what she wants from life. Perennially dissatisfied, she tends to lose herself in daydreams. While she knows that things are never perfect, she can’t help but fantasize about starting a new life.
