Overview… Cher Horowitz’s former step-brother who just won’t stop hanging around her house. That remains the case even after his mom and and Cher’s dad, Mel, got divorced. Originally from Seattle, Josh is a college student in Los Angeles who has plans to become an environmental lawyer. He prides himself in being an intellectual, and he makes sure Cher knows how much better he thinks CNN is than “Beavis and Butthead.” But over time he has to admit that Cher has her charms, too.
Personality… smart and snarky. Like he said to Cher, “In some parts of the universe, maybe not in Contempo Casual, but in some parts, it’s considered cool to know what’s going on in the world.” Cher thinks he’s totally uncool, although when she thinks about it, he is handsome enough to be a total Baldwin.

Shallow, rich and socially successful Cher is at the top of her Beverly Hills high school's pecking scale. Seeing herself as a matchmaker, Cher first coaxes two teachers into dating each other. Emboldened by her success, she decides to give hopelessly klutzy new student Tai a makeover. When Tai becomes more popular than she is, Cher realizes that her disapproving ex-stepbrother was right about how misguided she was—and falls for him.
