Johnny Storm

Grew up… in Glenville, New York, a small suburb just outside of Long Island. Johnny was raised primarily by his older sister, Sue Storm, after his mother was killed in a car accident and his father descended into self-destructive alcoholism.

Living… on the edge. Johnny Storm inherited none of his father or his sister’s intellectualism or caution. He is at his best when doing something reckless. Johnny’s latest stunt involved joining his sister, Reed Richards, and pilot Ben Grimm on a mission into space to study the effects of cosmic radiation. The radiation was more potent than expected – it overwhelmed the crafts shields and left each of the expedition members with incredible powers. Johnny gained the ability to control flame and fly. Dubbing himself the “Human Torch,” he’s joined forces with his crewmates to form the Fantastic Four, a superhero team dedicated to making the world a better place.

Profession… a little bit of this, a little bit of that. Johnny has an interest in extreme sports, firefighting, and even acting. He’s aimless and willing to do anything as long as it’s exciting – luckily, being a superhero provides endless thrills.

Interests… pretty girls, fast cars, and adventures. Johnny is the youngest and most reckless of the Fantastic Four. He is determined to make up for their frequently stuffy behavior.

Relationship status… single, but Johnny Storm rarely sleeps alone. Young, carefree, attractive, and newly imbued with superpowers, Johnny brims with confidence and is eager to explore the world of romance – although it’s hard to find the time when you’re constantly saving the world.

Challenge… defeating Dr. Doom and all other threats to peace. While Johnny Storm is mostly incapable of taking anything seriously, he understands the responsibility that his powers grant him. Unwilling to let his sister and teammates down, Johnny constantly throws himself into new challenges and faces dangers in an attempt to make the world a better place.

Personality… brash, arrogant, and charming. Johnny’s the resident carefree playboy on a team of two stuffy scientists and a self-loathing monster. He frequently clashes with the pessimistic Ben Grimm, but also helps the Fantastic Four relieve stress and tension with his constant stream of jokes and wisecracks. But he's more than just a jokester – he is fiercely protective of his teammates and is even willing to die for them.
