Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Overview… a chronic debtor living on the mean streets of New York City. Johnny Boy has borrowed money from (and failed to repay) so many loan sharks in Little Italy that he’s running out of people from whom to borrow. He burns through their loans buying drinks for girls, and by end of the day he seldom has more than a few bills left in his pocket. But he’ll have the money next week. He swears on his mother.

Personality… humorous and chatty but also destructive in every way possible. Johnny Boy blows up garbage cans for kicks. When he inevitably runs into a person he owes money, his solution is to crack jokes to keep the mood light. When the mood is light, when there is no trouble, he causes trouble by running his mouth and insulting his present company. Johnny isn’t really religious and isn’t about to get on his knees and pray. As far as he’s concerned, he’s immune to sin.
